Are you aware?

If not, you could face serious legal consequences, including lawsuits and financial penalties.

It is already happening and could get worse.

As a coach and consultant, I am acutely aware of the potential risks that come with the increasing use of AI.

With more people adopting AI and more AI providers entering the market, the risk of copyright infringements is on the rise, potentially leading to lawsuits.

It's crucial to be cautious.

For example, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, Walt Disney and Comcast's Universal filed a lawsuit against Midjourney for copyright infringement in the U.S. federal district court in Los Angeles, California.

This case was reported in Reuter's article 'Disney, Universal sue image creator Midjourney for copyright infringement 'by Dawn Chmielewski, June 11, 2025.

Walt Disney and Comcast's Universal are seeking an injunction and damages against Midjourney for using copyrighted works for AI training.

Disney's executive vice president and chief legal officer, Horacio Gutierrez, and NBCUniversal's executive vice president and general counsel, Kim Harris, both stated they wanted to protect the works of others.

Midjourney is an AI generator company founded in 2021 by David Holz and was reported to make about $300 million in revenue from paid subscriptions in 2024.

So, while AI is undoubtedly a part of the future, it's crucial to be cautious and mindful of potential copyright infringement issues when utilizing it.
