Do you want to enjoy the fruits of your labor?

Do you want abundance?

Imagine enjoying the rewards of your efforts.

As a coach and consultant, what you do daily will help to determine your future.

Sadly, you may have habits that affect your well-being negatively.

Diabetes is not just a personal issue, it's a global health crisis that we all need to be aware of.

It is said to be hereditary.

However, lifestyle choices are linked to it.

CANADA

On March 3, 2022, Diabetes Canada released new 2022 figures that showed the continued increase in diabetes rates in Canada.

The information also revealed that over 11 million Canadians were living with diabetes or prediabetes.

At that time, there were more than 5 million Canadians living with diabetes (type 1 & type 2 diagnosed + type 2 undiagnosed).

It was estimated that diabetes costs the healthcare system $30 billion per year to treat people with the disease.

WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION (WHO)

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), as of November 14, 2024, the number of people living with diabetes increased from 200 million in 1990 to 830 million in 2022.

The increase in diabetes rates was more prevalent in low and middle-income countries than in high-income countries.

Some of the effects of diabetes are blindness, kidney failure, heart attacks, stroke, and lower limb amputations.

So, how can you prevent diabetes naturally?

Here are 3 ways that can naturally help to prevent diabetes:

1

Diet

Eat plenty of whole foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains (e.g., brown rice, quinoa, oats), legumes, and lean proteins, to maintain good health.

Meals high in refined sugars, processed foods, and unhealthy fats increase insulin resistance and blood sugar levels, which are key risk factors for type 2 diabetes.

2

Exercise

Regular physical activity, like walking, improves insulin sensitivity, assists in maintaining a healthy weight, and lowers blood sugar levels.

Your body is meant for movement, so ensure you are active.

3

Weight

A healthy diet and regular exercise help maintain your body’s natural weight.

Excess body fat, especially around the abdomen, increases insulin resistance, which leads to type 2 diabetes.

You can be healthy and enjoy your life.

Remember your goals such as:

~ Enjoying time with your family

~ Retiring early
